Disaster Avoided in Local Call Center

SSI Phone Bank Nearly Emptied

The scene was a local call center here in Houston.  A company called Software Support Inc.  (SSI).  This morning around 8:50am a supervisor in this company brought in donuts for the customer support representatives (CSR's) to eat.  There was glazed donuts, chocolate donuts, and even the cream filled donuts.  After a bit of pigging out, one of the CSR's checked the refrigerator  and was shocked to find there was no milk to drink.  A check on the vending machines revealed the same result.  "There is no milk!" was heard all over the call center from this CSR and everyone started running for the elevators to hit the streets in search of milk.  A few moments later the same CSR made a startling discovery on the table in the middle of the donut boxes.  The lids for the boxes were covering a fresh gallon of milk and several packages of plastic cups.  "Hey!  There is milk!"  he called out.  The hoard of CSR's halted and made their way back to break room of SSI.  Luckily, the supervisor Suzanne Upshaw had though ahead and thus averted a near disaster for the call center.
